Fridge Flair® Safety Guidelines & Product Use Policy
At Fridge Flair®, our machines are designed to deliver consistent, high-quality results for makers, creators, and small business owners. These are professional-grade manual press machines, and as with all mechanical equipment, proper operation is essential to ensure safe use.
Please read and follow the guidelines below before operating your machine.
1. General Equipment Safety
Fridge Flair® machines are manual press devices constructed with durable metal components and designed to apply pressure during operation.
Due to their function:
- The machine contains moving mechanical parts
- The pressing mechanism generates significant force
- Pinch points exist between upper and lower mold components
Failure to operate the machine properly can result in injury to hands or fingers.
Required Safety Practices
- Keep hands and fingers clear of the pressing area at all times
- Operate the machine using the handle only
- Never place hands near molds during operation
- Ensure the machine is placed on a stable, flat surface before use
- Do not allow children or untrained individuals to operate the machine without supervision
- Do not modify, alter, or tamper with the machine in any way
2. Pinch Point & Press Operation Warning
During operation, the press applies controlled force to assemble components.
- Keep fingers and hands clear of the upper and lower mold area at all times
- Rotate molds fully into position before engaging the press
- Apply steady, controlled pressure using the handle
- Do not rush or force the press beyond normal operation
Improper use may result in injury.
3. Equipment Design Notice
This equipment is a manual mechanical press and does not include automatic safety guards, sensors, or emergency stop features.
The user is responsible for maintaining awareness of hand placement and safe operation at all times.
4. Consumable Materials Safety
Fridge Flair® consumables, including metal shells and related components, are manufactured for press compatibility and performance.
These components may include:
- Pre-formed metal edges
- Thin metal rims that may be sharp or semi-sharp
Improper handling may result in cuts, abrasions, or irritation.
Safe Handling Guidelines
- Handle all metal components with care
- Avoid sliding fingers along edges
- Do not apply pressure directly to metal edges with bare hands
- Consider protective gloves when handling large quantities
- Keep materials stored securely and out of reach of children
5. Workspace Safety
To ensure safe and effective operation:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-lit workspace
- Keep loose items away from the pressing area
- Secure the machine to a stable base if needed
- Operate in a controlled environment, especially at events or markets
- Prevent unauthorized access during operation
